With a background spanning many years in the customer success/support space, Gary first entered the world of 3D printing back in 2012 upon joining Shapeways. As their first customer success hire in the US, he worked directly with numerous organizations, designers, makers and customers, gaining a thorough understanding of the additive manufacturing world and what drives success.
The Rest of the Story
Being a people person, and a jack of all trades type, I found that Customer Success was a perfect fit for my personality. I love working in a role that touches all aspects of an organization and helping me become a guiding knowledge base. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that your direct efforts have helped a client succeed at meeting their goals.
Stuff You Wouldn't Know
First Job: As a young 18 year old and recent transplant to NYC as a college freshman, I constantly heard the joke “How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice!” I took the easy route and started working there instead. When you love music in all of it’s forms, I couldn’t have asked for a better first gig!
My Childhood: From Upstate New York in the Finger Lakes region, my childhood was a combination of the Goonies and the Cosby Show, mixed with a touch of a John Hughes movie.
Random Facts: I have a BFA in Acting from NYU, and have appeared in numerous theatre productions, tv shows, movies, commercials, and voiceovers.
