Christian has always been interested in learning through experience and considers himself a fast learner. In 2016, he applied this passion to the 3D printing industry. Ever since, he has worked closely with both service bureaus and OEM’s to develop their best practices for navigating the ever-changing additive manufacturing ecosystem. Christian has a deep interest in AM applications for aerospace and defense. He has gained a great deal of knowledge in the realm of 3d printing with metals.
The Rest of the Story
After interning for Shane and Vishal, I began leveraging my people skills and transitioned into a sales role and nurturing my passion for 3D printing. My first time at Rapid I felt like a kid in a candy shop. After seeing the machines in action, and the hype surrounding this emerging technology, I knew I was hooked. I’m excited to see where AM will go in the coming years and I’m definitely going to stick around for the ride.
I come from a long line of doer’s. My father was born on a horse farm that was owned by his father. He’s been working hard since the day he was born. He has owned his own equestrian business since I was a child. My mother is a blackbelt in Karate who has been a personal trainer and now owns a Karate studio in Sag Harbor, New York. My parents taught me from a young age that if you’re driven, good things will happen.
Stuff You Wouldn't Know
First Job: My first job was working at a farmstand 5 minutes from the beach in Sagaponack, New York. I would hang out, chat with the locals, and sit in the sun. This is pretty much where I discovered my natural ability and enjoyment for talking with all different types of people.
My Childhood: I grew up on a horse farm in Sagaponack, New York. This horse farm was also 5 minutes from the beach. My early days were spent running around with my 2 brothers, imagining and exploring. I probably spent more time without shoes on for the first 15 years of my life. When it was too cold to be barefoot, I would throw on a pair of hockey skates. I’ve been a hockey goalie since I was 5 years old. That was definitely my first passion in life, as it remains today.
Random Facts: I have an identical twin brother. I play traditional African hand drums. I have an instagram following for a video series I call “Disco Kitchen” where I cook food while dancing and listening to disco music.
